Dominic’s passion for photography was kindled in his early schooldays, when he first stepped into a photographic darkroom—a place of quiet alchemy that left a lasting impression. Those foundational skills, once taught with trays of chemicals and red light, he has since passed on to younger generations through his teaching. Today, the darkroom has given way to the digital workspace, yet the spirit of craft and curiosity remains unchanged.
Educated at both Oxford Brookes University and Oxford University, Dominic has lived in Oxford since 1990. An Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, with a Masters in Photography from Falmouth University, he is a photographer and image editor whose work often reflects his own interests, shaped by formative years spent on the edge of Dartmoor. Wildlife and landscape photography were early passions, enriched by regular journeys to South Africa that expanded his portfolio.
From there, his lens has turned to new subjects: sport, viticulture, chapels, and stained glass – each explored with the same precision and poetic eye that defines his practice.
