Surfaces and Strategies PHO703 – Oral Presentation – Transcript

For Module 2’s Oral Presentation, I have included the merest suggestion of a sound recording.  With most of the locations being chapels in which I have sung, it seemed fitting to include a recording in which I feature.

Recorded in Notre-Dame de l’Assomption de Rouen (the magnificent Gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral of Rouen, in Northern France, pictured below), the piece is a setting of the first three verses of Psalm 42.  Like as the Hart was composed by Herbert Howells in a single day (January 8, 1941) and is part of a choral works titled Four Anthems.
