While progress is slow in my global domination of social media, the number of followers to my Instagram site is growing gradually, with a small number following almost immediately after I uploaded three images from St. George’s Cathedral, Cape Town (each of whom came through the #capetown route).  Clearly, finding new angles to the presentation of my research (specifically and only for social media), in addition to the progressive addition of new posts, is a route to follow.

Context is always important: working for CEOP, I am very much involved in the online protection of children and teach routinely about this.  During a recent Tutorial, immediately following such a lesson, one of my Tutees (somewhat of a celebrity), who is only just old enough to have an Instagram account, revealed that he currently has over 52K followers… more than 1000x that of my account!
