Warneford Hospital Chapel

The stained glass has an impressive vibrancy with many of the windows depicting, quite appropriately, healing and related themes.  In this window, the narrative of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee is depicted in his healing of the bleeding woman who had touched the hem of his garment.

The window lent itself well to the removal of tie bars, which was undoubtedly four additional hours of editing well spent.

Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.

EXIF data:

  • Canon EOS-1D X Mark II
  • Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM
  • 85mm | ISO-50 | f/8.0
  • Exposure range: 1/20sec – 3.2sec

The image is the result of the exposure blending by hand of 20 separate images.

The tracery below each window was beautiful – and pleasingly straightforward to edit!  Sadly I only photographed one example, so must return for more.
